We're a family.

Purple Warriors is a registered charity for serving & former personnel of HM Armed Forces with a physical, mental or neurological impairment. We use the sport of dragon boat racing to inspire our members to triumph through their adversity.

We welcome ​unimpaired HM Armed Forces, families, partners & friends. And we extend this invitation to anyone else who would like to join our growing family.

Dragon boating

What is it exactly?

Dragon boating is an exciting team paddling sport where a crew of 20 paddlers, a drummer, and a steersperson compete in a long, narrow boat decorated with dragon-like features. ​​​

Can I really do it?

We have yet to find someone with a disability that we could not accommodate in the boat and paddling.

How can I get involved?

How much will it cost?

It will cost a lot less than you could imagine.

In fact, we may be able to fully support your costs for attending one of our events.

Purple Warriors

Purple Warriors is a registered charity for disabled and impaired serving and former HM armed forces personnel that uses the sport of dragon boat racing to inspire each other to triumph through their adversity.

This charity functions on your support to enable its disabled members to compete free of charge.
